Fig Leaf Software, a dynamic, fast-growing Web solutions provider, is actively seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Developer. The successful candidate will be a positive, self-motivated individual who possesses a unique blend of technical aptitude and expertise and the ability to interface with clients to determine their needs and to communicate the status of enterprise-level Web application projects. Our opening requires a person who will be an inspiring mentor to the software development team and is able to communicate effectively with computer programmers and graphic designers. Located in the Dupont Circle area of Washington, DC, Fig Leaf is a leading Web solutions provider, specializing in creating dynamically driven Web sites, multimedia, and transactional, data-driven personalized Web applications for Fortune 1000 companies, federal agencies, and trade associations. Our client list includes Estee Lauder, Defense Research Institute, World Resources Institute, College of Notre Dame of Maryland, Verizon, Federal Aviation Administration, NEA, the United States Department of Justice, United States Senate Office Buildings and an impressive list of others. Senior Software Developer Responsibilities:

  • Develop mission-critical Web applications for corporations and major associations
  • Provide managerial supervision of software development team - Interact with clients to determine project requirements and provide continual status reports
  • Teach Macromedia Certified ColdFusion courses (upon certification)
  • Contribute to various Fig Leaf-sponsored publishing initiatives (courseware, books, magazines, and ColdFusion User Groups (CFUGs)

Your Qualifications Must Include:

  • Minimum of three years software development experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Web-based technologies
  • Proven leadership in a team environment
  • Strong database design experience (Oracle, SQL Server)
  • BS degree in Computer Science or related field
