Inside Salesperson

Fig Leaf Software, a dynamic Web design, development and training provider, is actively seeking a talented Inside Salesperson. The successful candidate will be a positive, self-motivated individual who possesses a unique blend of sales aptitude and expertise and the ability to interface with clients to win enterprise-level Web application projects. This position requires a person who will be able to communicate effectively with customers, the accounting team as well as with computer programmers and graphic designers.

Located in the DuPont Circle area of Washington, DC, Fig Leaf is a leading Web solutions provider, specializing in creating dynamically driven Web sites, multimedia, and transactional, data-driven personalized Web applications for Fortune 1000 companies, federal agencies, non-profits and associations.

The successful Inside Salesperson will be responsible for meeting and exceeding established sales and organizational goals through the development and creation of new opportunities. This will be accomplished by a combination of new business development and expansion in existing accounts. This is an entry point into our consultative sales career track so candidates must have a strong work ethic and ability to exercise good judgment. This role will be a proving ground for future advancement into our strategic sales positions.

Responsibilities of this position include:
Management of the sales cycle, leading multiple sales efforts concurrently and responsible for lead generation, prospecting, qualifying, proposing, closing product, services and training business. Key account management and planning activities include online client meetings, sales calls, telemarketing, frequent follow up calls to existing customers and responding quickly to client needs and uncovering new business opportunities. The Inside Salesperson will receive lists of prospective customers as sales leads, based on information from download lists, events, direct mail responses, aged leads, partners, and other sources.

The successful candidate will:
o Proactively call cold and warm “prospects” and close business over the phone
o Schedule client meetings and set agendas as required
o Emphasizes features and benefits, quote prices and credit terms, and prepare sales orders.
o Develop strong positive team relationship with internal teams and business partners
o Forecast revenue monthly and quarterly
o Be responsible for selling the full line of products/services and achieving quotas
o Enter new customer data and other sales data for prospects and current customers into sales database
o Help keep company marketing materials up to date
o Participate in proposal development and writing
o Attend and help manage trade show, conference and seminar events and user groups
o Spend a majority of the time (>75%) on the phone.

Requirements:
o BA/BS degree
o 1-3 years of successful telephone or cold-calling experience
o Proficient in the use of the Internet, MS Office software and sales database tools
o Ability to work in a team environment and communicate with technical teams
o Proven ability to sell over the phone and close deals
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills
o Experience identifying and qualifying prospects and opportunities
o Ability to learn and keep abreast of product offerings and new technologies
o Highly motivated, positive attitude, charismatic personality o Strong desire to learn and succeed
o Detail oriented, self-starter, organized, extremely motivated o Ability to multi-task, while working in a fast -paced environment
o Strong customer service skills to anticipate prospect and customer needs
o Knowledge and experience in software development and deployment tools for building Web applications using ASP.Net, ColdFusion, Java/J2EE, is desirable
o Experience selling one or more of the following is desired: content management systems, online learning or Web conferencing, technology training, consulting services
